Your projects already live in plain text.
Space Command reads your notes, plans, and TODO lists, then shows you the one thing to do next.
The app sits at the edge of your screen, a click from the menu bar, and works on your files where they are. There’s nothing to import or keep in sync, and nothing leaves your Mac.
Made for people who work in Markdown and plain text, with tools like Obsidian, Hugo, VS Code, and Git. If your to-do list is already a text file, this is for you.

Projects, found
Point the app at ~/projects and your notes. Your repos, note folders, and Hugo sites show up as projects, with stale docs marked. Tag a note #starter-timer and the app offers to link it to that repo.
Plans and TODOs together
PLAN.md phases, TODO.md, BUGS.md, and tagged lines from your notes, gathered per project. Pick a project to see how far along its plan is. Tick off a task and the app ticks it in the file too.
One thing first
Mark one line #focus and it leads every view. Priorities sort the rest, and #snooze hides what can wait.
Ideas beside the work
Tag a thought #idea in any file. Ideas sit with their project’s tasks, marked with a ring, and a filter shows either or both.
Blog drafts at hand
Drafts and recent posts for each Hugo site. Start a post from your archetypes and preview it as you write.
Copies, cleaned up
Reflow text from a terminal, tidy Markdown, or fix quotes and dashes. Any copy can become a task too.
Smart, but never presumptuous.
The app notices and suggests, but changes nothing until you say so.
- Your files, your formatTasks and priorities are tags in your files, so they sync wherever your files do.
- Safe editsBefore it writes, the app checks the file hasn’t changed since it read it. Only the line you ticked changes, and you can undo it.
- Nothing leaves your MacNo account and no cloud. The app reads the folders you choose and what you copy: while the panel is open, or all the time if you turn that on. The one exception: if you allow it, the app checks for updates, sending only its version number.
