About and Settings now wear the teaser’s stripe across their tops. Should the panel too? Each choice is drawn docked (under the menu bar, its top joined to it, as 0.112.x is heading) and floating.
The choices
Now, no stripe (recommended). The stripe marks the app’s occasional windows, About and Settings, and the site. The panel is open all day, so 16 pt of bright colour would sit in view all day, and the focus card should be the brightest thing on it. Docked, the top joins the menu bar, which you asked for in T96.
A, the stripe on both, 16 pt, as About and Settings have it. Docked, it runs right along the menu bar’s bottom edge, so the panel reads as a separate band under the bar rather than joined to it. It pushes the header down 16 pt.
B, floating only. A floating panel is a window like About, so it gets the stripe; a docked one is part of the screen’s edge, so it doesn’t. The stripe would come and go as you dock and float.
C, a thin stripe on both, 6 pt (4 pt at first; 6 since T100, so the corner doesn’t clip it to a sliver), with shorter blocks. The palette’s accent without the weight. Docked, it reads as a coloured underline to the menu bar.
In every choice the docked panel’s top line goes (0.112.x), and its inner corners stay rounded.
Question
Now, A, B or C: should the panel wear the stripe? Decided (the user, 2026-10-24): C, the thin stripe on both.
