As built in 0.92.0, the row stacks five controls in four styles: a bordered field pulled out of the column, “Create in ▾” with a pill picker, the path, a second pill picker, then Cancel and Create Draft as link text. Both redesigns take Add Task's decided shape instead: the system field, the section as a chip at its end, Return to make the draft, Esc to cancel, and no buttons. Type a title, pick a section or Folder / Single file from the chip, and try “The weeknight loaf” in recipes to see a clash.
As built (0.92.0)
A · path under the field (recommended)
B · one line
What changes
One field, one chip. The title field is the system's rounded field (22 pt), inside the column, with the section as a chip at its end, as Add Task's destination is. The chip's menu lists the sections (newest post's first, checked), then a rule, then Folder and Single file as a checked pair. One-of-several choices as checked groups, per the menu order rule.
No buttons. Return makes the draft, Esc cancels, as Add Task does. Create Draft and Cancel go, and so does “Create in”.
A clash shows where it happens. When the file already exists, the ring turns Amber and the line under the field says so. Return does nothing until the title, section or layout changes. A failed hugo new shows its error on the same line, with its links, as now.
A: the path the draft will get stays under the field in Faint mono, so you see the slug and the layout as you type. B: the row is one line, and the path is the chip menu's first line.

Should the + on the site header stay a + (as now), or read “+ Post” in a site's own scope? (keep + / “+ Post”)
